Tips for feeling Supported
Today, I'm sharing some of the resources I use myself to help cultivate the feeling of being SUPPORTED.
1. Here's a 4-minute guided self-Havening video you can watch to experience feelings of deep support. Before you watch it, think back to a time in your life when you felt really supported. For me, it was bedtime as a young girl when I was the "damsel in distress" hanging off my bed, about to be eaten by the sharks (yes, I had a vivid imagination!), and my Dad would swoop down, lift me up, and rescue me. In that moment, I felt completely supported, like there was nothing in the worldtoo scary for me to overcome. Think back into your own memories - when have you felt deeply supported? 2. I could not live without Shree Yoga's online Restorative yoga classes with Alison, Elizabeth, and Karon. In these classes, you use a lot of pillows to support your body in comfortable resting poses (-yes, I actually have dozed off several times), and I always leave class feeling supported. 3. Call a special person in your life (or FaceTime, Zoom, etc.). Really, is there anything better than reaching out to a really close friend or loved one for emotional support? We ALL need that. And the beauty of it is, you provide support to them at the same time.
